Ironmongery and Accessories
We sell a large variety of ironmongery and accessories here at Kilburn Timber. The stock is constantly changing and evolving so it would be impossible to list every item we sell so instead we have highlighted some of our best sellers for you below.
Performance Plus Screws
We used to sell standard twin thread screws until we had an ironmongery rep come into our yard explaining to us the massive differences between his screws and the ones that he was selling. It’s fair to say that to start off with, we were dubious. He was so convincing though that we placed an order… trust me, we would never go back. Performance plus screws have a serrated self-milling thread with self-countersinking ribs. If you’re like us and that means nothing to you, let me assure you… it makes a BIG difference.
As well as standard wood screws in the performance plus, we have now started stocking performance structural screws. Similar to a normal screw, these have much thicker shank with a bigger head and driven in by either a torx or hex head drill bit to prevent “camming out”.
Gate Furniture
We have a good range of hinges, latches, bolts, etc for hanging and securing a gate. We would be very surprised if we didn’t have everything needed to complete the job!
Joist Hangers
We sell most varieties of joist hangers in different sizes including “wood to wood” and “wood to masonry”. Just enquire with us to see if we have what you’re looking for!
